About BASS MCS

Veteran-Owned Mission-Critical Electrical Contractor

Veteran-owned. Nationwide. One partner, one standard, every site.

Our story

It started in 1996 with a simple refusal: no shortcuts.

BASS MCS grew out of nearly three decades of commercial and industrial electrical work. That work started in 1996 as BASS Electric. It was steady, dependable work, but the team kept running into the same problem on other people’s job sites: a panel would fail, nobody had records, and the last crew that touched it was long gone. Facilities were paying for the same lesson over and over because nobody wrote anything down.

That is the gap BASS MCS was built to close. We carved out a mission-critical services division because facilities that cannot afford to go dark, like data centers, hospitals, and plants, need a different kind of electrical partner. Not the crew that shows up, does the job, and disappears, but the crew that inspects it, documents it, maintains it, and is still on the other end of the phone two years later when something looks off.

Specializing in mission-critical work was not a marketing decision. Every finding gets written down. Every asset gets a rating. Every visit ends with a report the client owns, not a verbal “looks fine” that evaporates the moment we leave.

In 2025, that work was formalized into BASS MCS: a dedicated electrical maintenance, inspection, and testing operation focused entirely on the facilities that cannot afford to go dark. Nearly thirty years after BASS Electric first opened its doors, the standard hasn’t changed. What’s grown is our reach and the size of the facilities that trust us to keep them running.

Leadership

Led by people with decades of field experience.

BASS MCS is led by people who spent their careers in the field. The team that scopes your job has run jobs like it before.

Jeff Yee — President & CEO. Jeff leads BASS MCS field operations, bringing extensive experience in commercial and industrial electrical inspection, maintenance, and testing work.

Jeff leads a team of field technicians and project managers with deep field experience. The people who scope your job are the people who have run jobs like it before, and that continuity is the whole point. The same standard Jeff sets carries through every crew we send out, so the report you get in year one reads the same as the report you get in year ten.

The standard most contractors talk about. We document it every visit.

One point of contact

You deal with us, not a chain of subcontractors who don’t talk to each other. One contract, one standard, one team accountable for the outcome.

On record. Every visit.

Every finding, every repair, every preventative maintenance task is documented and handed back to you. You own the records, and that paper trail matters when insurance or compliance comes knocking.

We find it before it finds you.

Our inspections are designed to catch problems at the fix stage, not the failure stage. That’s the entire point of the program.

The work earns the next job.

Over 90% of our work comes through direct referral from existing clients. That trust comes from consistent work, clear documentation, and showing up the same way every time.
